Why Sustainable?

When we look at the timeline below, indicating population growth throughout history, it is hard to ignore that the possibility of human growth is putting significant strain on the Earth and its resources. At the current rate, if we continue to turn a blind eye to the devastating effects we are having on our world, future generations will not only have to clean up our mess, but concern themselves with their own survival!

There are so many reasons why a person should choose to create a more sustainable footprint for themselves that I hate to just list a few; invariably I will miss many important reasons. I simply do not have the space, or wish that the pages be so long that you won’t want to read them. I want to highlight some of the biggys’ to get your green appetite going.

Each one of these individual issues could potentially fill volumes with both statistical and empirical evidence.
